Some people totally vote for the players they hate here rather than for who is truly over-rated. Can't see why Torres was voted so for an instance, he managed to outpace 3 Chelsea players, not to mention his finish, all of this on his debut. Not to mention how unlucky was he not to score against Sunderland. Some people might consider even CR7 to be over-rated, well, he does over do tricks at times and does dive (which pisses me off big time) but by the media he isn't that over-rated, more his fans over-rate him. He's a great player in my opinion.
So here goes my list:
Over-rated:
Vidic (he is most of the time praised for his attacking abilities, rather than how he managed to save a game or so)
Chivu (might prove me wrong though by time for me saying he's over-rated)
Jon Obi Mikel (His best technique is provoking players and reckless tackling)
Gattuso (all mouth and rough challanges, nothing else really. Milan fans like him since he plays from his heart for them, but in the end, his feet aren't that great.)
Under-rated (To begin, most defender are)
Finnan
Arbeloa
Carragher
Zambrotta
Sheva (He was over-rated maybe5 years ago, now he greatly under-rated, this guy is class, he just can't cut in the premierleague. Any AC Milan fans can tell you how great he was, as do Inter and Juve fans)
Lahm
Kuyt (he sometimes gets slated for not scoring enough goals, but people never praise the work he does in the midfield area, which is immense in my opinion.)
Barry (Gareth Barry, this guy has talent but is wasted in At Aston Villa. No disrespect to Villa, but this guy deserves better in my opinion)
I could go on on both of the lists but I'm too lazy to continue.
