I am happy have Spain at 6/1 with £10 on them and also Villa 5/1 with £10 on him to be goldenboot winner. The fact that Xavi scored aswell is even better

nope it doesn't do that at all. yes they were the best in this tournament but this by no stretch of imagination puts spanish soccer above any other, it puts the spanish national team above other european national team. But doesn't mean that all the leagues and the general level of soccer over there is higher.

I am happy with Spain as a winner, altough El Guaje was sitting on the bench. Nando shows his great skills - speed, determination, power and jumping ability. Robin, I think Mauro meant the style of play which spanish team shown on this tournament was much better then other teams.

El guaje didn't just sit at the bench mate, he was injured. The day before the final everyone knew he couldn't play because of the injury he suffered during the semifinal game against russia.

Xavi was selected as the best player in the euro 08.
Also 9 spanish players were in the Euro best players squad.

I would debate that Xavi was excellent don't get me wrong but Marco Senna was simply immense and played ALL the games from start to finish in a role witch I find it very hard to play in but also the harder one to get recognized for.
